The Tornado Summit 2014

The National Tornado Summit is an annual event designed to improve disaster mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery in order to save lives and property. It’s a great convention for weather experts, storm chasers, insurance professionals, repair professionals, and state and national experts to come and exchange ideas.

The Tornado Summit basically consisted of different exhibitors from all over the country ranging from public adjusters to storm restoration, with insurance agents and engineering companies mixed in for good measure. Meteorologists Reed Timmer and Gary England were notable attendees.

The expo was divided into “sessions” in which participants were able to sit in on insightful speeches given by various members of the core presentation including but not limited to Governor Mary Fallin and Mike Turpen. There were then 15 to 20 minute “breakout sessions” in between speeches where the participants would then visit with the various exhibitors.

We were happy to attend, and we brought back a lot of good information on how to keep your home prepared for the next storm weather season! We look forward to helping you and attending the NTS again next year.
